Willow Glen Farm
"Rescue does not mean they are broken, it means they have been let down by humans"
Willow Glen Farm is a huge advocate for rescue horses, especially Saddlebreds. We currently have several living out their days on the farm. Some are part of the lesson program while others are happily retired. We even have a few in our show string! We also take much pride in exposing the general equine community on how rescues can not only recover, but many can excel and even compete successfully in any discipline.
Below, you can see a number of the rescues that reside at Willow Glen Farm! Many of which are in our lesson program and show string.
Kimber Bay
Kimber has surprised us all. She's a fighter, for sure! She bounced back from neglect and malnourishment, started under saddle and is now a stunner in the show ring! We are very excited to have her in our show string! She has even been used for a few advanced lessons. You can check out more photos of Kimber on our "Show String" page!

Ratatouille
We feel extremely lucky to have Rat as part of our lesson program at Willow Glen Farm! He came to us on the thin side but has come right along in a short amount of time. The students love him and he really knows how to "show off"!

Tango by Daylight
Tango by Daylight was an unplanned surprise! As WGF owner, Rebekah was hauling another rescue horse to the wonderful Misfit Toys Rescue Division, Inc. in Kentucky, Tiny Tim (now Isaac) "chose" Rebekah himself! Having one spot left on the trailer coming home Tiny Tim hopped aboard for his journey back to Willow Glen Farm! He is impeccably bred out of "From Soup to Nuts" by "Tangos Daylight", stringing back to "Undulatas Nutcracker". We are excited this little man was given another chance. We have high hopes for him and can't wait to watch him grow and progress!
Good Golly Miss Holly
Holly was rescued by Misfit Toys Rescue Division, Inc. and came straight to Willow Glen Farm for rehab and training. Owner/Trainer, Rebekah, quickly fell in love with Holly's sweet soul and eagerness to please. It was then decided that WGF would be Holly's forever home!

Stella
Stella came from Camelot in 2012. She was a great starter pony and did well in the WGF lesson program for a while. Stella has recently been enjoying her time out in the pasture with the big guys. Stella may be put back into the lesson program in the future!

Hawking
Hawk came to WGF from New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program. He is a big boy, standing 16hh. Not only is he a gorgeous boy but he has a great mind as well. We are happy to have him as part of our lesson program and show string!

Barbie
Barbie has had a slow recovery and restart. She is a good girl, a little timid when it comes to new people though. At this point, we are going at Barbie's pace and doing what she feels comfortable with. We know she is a special horse and we have high hopes for her in the future, but right now we are taking it day by day!!

Lotto
Lotto fell into our lap kind of as a "freak" thing. The details are not necessarily important at this time, but we are very happy that we came across this sweet boy and were able to give him the soft landed he so very much deserves!!
